Concert for blindfolded eyes. Other sounds, Other landscapes, with Luís Antero.

What is the importance of sound in our day-to-day life? Does it remain, as advocated by Murray Schafer in the 1970s of the last century, the most neglected element of our landscape? And the mills and water wheels, mixed with the life stories of shepherds and farmers with weather-beaten hands?
It is in an attempt to answer these questions that the concept Concert for Blindfolds, starting from the premise that we often stop to see, but rarely do it to listen!

Space Eco 2 Seia
_ Galeria das Magnólias da Casa da Cultura
In one of the spaces of the Galleries of the House of Culture, we will have the opportunity to know more about this program implemented by the municipality of Seia within the scope of its Agenda XXI Local.
Eco2SEIA addresses the environmental issues specifically related to climate change, which result from greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, mainly due to energy consumption.
Energy efficiency is an important part of the eco2SEIA program. Along with the ambition to become an environmental reference, Seia also aims to achieve full employment. It is in this context that economic development, investment attraction, job creation, energy efficiency and protection of the environment are one and the same objective that everyone wants to share. The environment is not protected without creating a job or creating employment without protecting the environment.
Making Seia an environmental reference is a design that all Senenses must embrace, because, as the old saying goes, "unity is strength." Therefore, the eco2SEIA program includes a set of initiatives that intend directly or indirectly to involve all people who live or visit Seia.
Eco2SEIA is a program that makes Seia a Low Carbon City, where energy is consumed as efficiently as possible, making the most of opportunities to use renewable energy sources, respecting natural heritage and avoiding GHG emissions.

Artistic Installation "composite spaces, lively reflections", DME / art! – climate.
_ Room 2 House of Culture
The Sound installation 'Composite spaces, living reflections' was born from a partnership between the DME Festival and the international electroacoustic music competition "art! ⋈ climate "(Canada / Argentina).
The sound is arranged in space through a multi-channel device that plays uninterruptedly the winning musical pieces of the aforementioned contest, which privileges excellence in electroacoustic music, associated with works that involve concepts of high environmental awareness. Award winning examples include the work "Omniscience is a Collective I" by Jaime Reis and "Resignificamar" by Daniel Quaranta, a professor at UNIRIO and former artist of the residence of the DME Festival in Seia.
While Reis work uses an awareness-raising approach through simultaneous messages in more than 15 languages of Europe and Asia arranged in a "multi linguistic polyphony", Quaranta has chosen a naturalistic path combining the sounds of waves from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans collected by composer in disparate geographical locations and creating a composition that refers to a 'composite sound landscape' and is performed in a way that connects the listener to nature.
