Elsa Mendes _ Portugal, National Cinema Plan Coordinator
PhD in Letters, in the field of Cultural Studies - Specialty in North American Studies - Film Studies (University of Lisbon). Master in Art History - Specialty History of Contemporary Art (FCSH- New University of Lisbon). Degree in History from FLUL (University of Lisbon). Since 2014, she has been National Coordinator of the National Cinema Plan in the Directorate- General for Education (Lisbon). Researcher at CEMRI - Media and Cultural Mediation Research Group (Open University) and the Association of Moving Image Researchers (AIIM), where she coordinates the Cinema and Education working group. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Arts Plan. Member of the Pedagogical Commission of the Association of History Teachers (APH). Co-adviser and member of juries of academic works in the area of Cinema, History and Education. Associate Member of the Portuguese Academy of Cinema. She has performed Jury duties in various Film Festivals. She has made several public presentations in the area of Cultural Studies and Film Studies, and, more recently, in the context of the dissemination of information and implementation of the National Cinema Plan. Teacher and Trainer in the areas of Specific Didactics (Cinema), History, Art History. Her privileged areas of research are the History of Contemporary Culture, Film Studies and the areas of Cinema and History and Cinema and Education.

Nuno Barros, Biologist, Lipor, Portugal
Graduated in Biology, by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, in 1996, he has always been connected, for the most part of his professional life, to Environment and Sustainability. After having started to work on management of fish populations, he joined Lipor where he began his career in the area of Education and Environmental Awareness. Later he created and coordinated Lipor's Sustainability Office, implementing Local Agenda 21 projects, Sustainability projects and projects in the area of Social Responsibility, namely the implementation of the SA8000 standard. He was a professor in the School of Sciences and Health Technologies, of the Polytechnic of Porto, were he teaches Waste Management. He spent four years in the United States where he worked in the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston in the areas of training, educational support and visitor assistance. He returned to Lipor in 2014, currently integrating the Communication, Marketing and Sustainability Unit, where he is responsible for the management of internal and external communication media.

Claudia Sirbulescu, Director of Pelicam Communication Festival ; Romania
Claudia is a young cinephile, working in the field of film culture management in Romania. She studied Cultural Management in Edinburgh (UK), where she developed an interest in the role of film festivals within the global film industries. In 2017, she started working at TIFF (Transilvania International Film Festival), the biggest film festival in Romania (listed by Indiewire in world's top 50 leading film festivals), where she currently manages a training programme for Romanian cinema managers, set in collaboration with Europa Cinemas: Transilvania Talent Lab (TTL). In the same time, she began a long-term collaboration with The Cinemobile - a major Romanian mobile cinema, as a PR and co-organizer. She was a member of the Giornate degli Autori / Venice Days Jury at the 74th edition of the Venice International Film Festival / La Biennale di Venezia and a LUX Film Ambassador in Romania. Last year, she was appointed as the Director of Communications at Pelicam International Film Festival - the only environmental film festival in Romania. Other notable collaborations include working with a major Romanian film distributor of art-house titles: Transilvania Film. Claudia is currently based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
JURY OF THE PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE FILMS COMPETITION

Pedro Nogueira, Portugal, CIBIO_InBIO Researcher
Pedro Nogueira is a native of Seia. Landscape architect at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto, he is since 2011 researcher at the Center for Research on Biodiversity and Genetic Resources. His professional career includes collaboration with the National Culture Center and the Serralves Foundation, in projects for the dissemination of information and promotion of scientific literacy. He is currently a PhD student, reflecting on the notion of landscape as a critical device, based on a historical anthropology based on the relationship between image, environment and temporality.

Virginia B. Chiaravalloti, Brasil, Social Service of Commerce
Social Scientist and Master in Urban Sociology (Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo). For 10 years she was a researcher, specializing in the design, planning and execution of social research in the areas of environment, health and education. For 15 years she has been working at the Social Service of Commerce (Sesc São Paulo), with experience in cultural production, non-formal and permanent education, including the holding of exhibitions and environmental film festivals. She is part of the Education for Sustainability area, where she coordinates and supervises projects with a social and environmental theme, with the carrying out of social and environmental mapping of initiatives, which act in the development and enhancement of the cultural diversity of the communities.

Gonçalo Poeta, Portugal, Professor in Seia Higher School of Hospitality and Tourism Management - IPG
Gonçalo José Poeta Fernandes is a Professor at the Higher School of Hospitality and Tourism Management of the Guarda Polytechnic Institute, and coordinator of the Culture, Geography and Leisure area. He holds a PhD in Geography and Regional Planning from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He is a researcher at CITUR, CICS.NOVA and UDI / IPG. It develops research projects in the field of tourism and development, public policies and local / regional development, mountainous regions, regional planning and cohesion, funded by national and international institutions. Research Network Advisor, Academic Bodies and Public Entities and member of working groups in the area of territorial innovation and tourism.
YOUTH PANEL OF JUDGES

Rafaela Aleixo
Rafaela Aleixo, 17 years old, is a native of Guarda and a student of the Socioeconomic Sciences course at the Secondary School of the Sé. She is a climate activist, she was part of the organization of the Climate Strike of May 24th and September 27th, 2019, in Guarda. Addressed the demonstration against lithium in Serra da Estrela, organized by Tamera, Wildlings, Awakened Forest Project, etc. and at an Opening Session of the School Year, organized by the Municipality of Guarda (2019). Organized a CineClima session in Guarda with the screening of a 2018 CineEco award-winning film, in partnership with the Cineclube da Guarda and IPDJ. Practice athletics and is a federated athlete in CASeia, national champion and participated in two international competitions, for the national team.

Bernardo Ferreira
Bernardo Cardoso Lemos Ferreira, 29 years old, senense since 2000. Completed the Integrated Master in Educational Psychology from the University of Coimbra in 2015 and his dissertation focused on Burnout Syndrome in the collaborators of Temporary Care Centers. In the academic year 2012/2013 he made Erasmus at the University of Valencia in Spain. From a young age he has been playing volleyball at the Sena Club in Seia, winning the title of national school sports champion in 2006. In recent years he has emigrated to the United Kingdom, first in Scotland and then in southern England. It was an enriching experience at the linguistic, economic and personal level. He is currently a collaborator in the GAF (Learning in Party) within the scope of the ECOCIDADANIA project.

João Sousa
João Lavrador de Sousa is a 23 years old architecture student. He grew up in Seia and lives in Lisbon. Lived for a year in Santiago, Chile, where he had the opportunity to study and work in an architecture studio. Boy Scout for several years, has a close connection with nature. Identifies himself with the CineEco’s goal to raise awareness of the environmental issues.

Mercês Castelo Branco
Mercês Castelo-Branco is 19 years old, grew up in Covilhã and studies Cinema at the University of Beira Interior. She made her school career in music in piano and cello in articulated teaching and has a special taste in cinema for animated and musical films. Most recently, she was part of the "Hands-on Work" National Project in which she represented Covilhã, whose goal was to clean as much waste as possible in places that were severely polluted. Since then, she has continued to try to help the environment in what it can, making people around her aware. Always lived between sea and mountains, between Sao Martinho do Porto, Covilhã and Serra da Estrela, these corners that he considers so special because they are so inserted into nature. In this way you feel like Alberto Caeiro because you feel complete when you are surrounded by the most diverse sounds, smells and forms of nature. She recently volunteered at the "FEST - New Directors, New Films Festival" film festival in Espinho during the last week of June and continues to explore what the film industry has to offer.

Miguel Gomes
Miguel Ângelo Ramos Gomes, works as Technical Assistant in the Municipality of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, where he lives. Born on December 23, 1995, completed his 12th grade in the County School Grouping, where he completed the course in Management Computing Technician in 2013. At this moment, among other functions, he performs technical accompaniment of the Cinema in the Auditorium of the House of Culture of Figueira.

Ana Rita Reis
Ana Rita Reis, 16 years old, is from Seia. She attends the Social and Human Sciences course at Seia Secondary School and is a double bass student at the Seia Conservatory of Music Supplementary Course. Integrates the Didactic Orchestra and Camerata Collegium Musicum. She has participated in various stages and this summer has toured with the National Youth Orchestra. She is increasingly interested in environmental issues and politics. Has participation in the Youth Parliament. She likes theater, having joined the Dr. Guilherme Correia de Carvalho School Theater Club and taking the CMS Theatrical Initiation Course, under the guidance of Alexandre Sampaio.

Samuel Sousa
Samuel Duarte de Sousa, 32 years old, born in Gouveia.
Graduated in Biology from the Department of Biology of the University of Aveiro, having completed the course in 2008. He performed a voluntary internship at the Center for Ecology, Recovery and Surveillance of Wildlife (CERVAS), where he increased knowledge related to native wildlife. This experience in CERVAS has allowed to know several other public and private entities in the district of Guarda, with which it continues to collaborate, directly or indirectly. Has other professional experiences in biology, acquired in other areas of the country, through participation in environmental impact studies. He is currently part of the technical team of the ECOCIDADANIA project, promoted by the Aprender em Festa Group in Gouveia.

Marisa Pedro
Marisa Alves Pedro was born on January 27th, 1997 in Castelo Branco, Portugal. Her academic career in high school has always been focused on the visual arts, but she has stood out by winning some awards in the contest “An Adventure… Literary 2013”, by Editorial and “National poetry/tale against racism contest ", Promoted by ACID. In 2019, she completed her degree in Cinema at the University of Beira Interior, where her work was mainly directed to the realization and production of short films created within the scope of subjects inserted in the graduation course. Her filmography covers a variety of genres such as like documentary, fiction and also stop motion animation.

Hugo Mata
Hugo Filipe Correia Mata was born in 1996, he is 23 years old and he is from Pinhel where he lives with his parents. Studied in the grouping of School of Pinhel until the 12th year where he also comprised of the Association of Students and the Commission of Finalists. Concluded in 2018 at the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda a course of Professional Higher Technician in Communication, Protocol and Event Organization. In the free time likes and practices DJ, plays football among the other things. He is cheerful ,fun and determined worker.

Afonso Gaudêncio
Afonso was born in Coimbra, Portugal in 1993. He grew up in the south of the country with his family and has lived in Lisbon since 2012. He graduated in Cinema, with specialization in Cinematography, from the Lisbon School of Theater and Cinema in 2015. Since then, worked in film productions, television and commercial, both in the camera department, lighting as well as director of photography. Having integrated several independent productions, it values versatility and cooperation in teamwork. It is your goal to pursue a career as a cinematographer, collaborating with those seeking materialize their own visual concepts.

Vitor Lubave
Vitor Lubave, born in Curitiba, Brazil, is a freelance Multimedia Content Producer from the Belmonte region. Actively creating in one form or another for most of your life, curiosity for transformation is the driving force of his work. The concern is with art as a constantly changing communication - a dynamic language that varies with his message. He has been interested in nonverbal communication in society and art since the beginning of his practice.
Driven by the desire to create visually interesting and emotional content, he has worked in a variety of projects in photography, video, audio recording and editing, web design, graphic design and marketing, both in the studio and in destinations. Has experience covering events, creating videos and photos of people, products or spaces, music videos, interviews and documentaries.

Francisca Carvalho
Francisca Neves Mata de Carvalho, 27 years old, born in Póvoa de Varzim.
Graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and although she started her internship at the Bar Association, it was in the Legal and Auditing Department of LIPOR - Inter-municipal Waste Management Service of Greater Porto (since July 2018), that she found a way to reconcile the knowledge acquired and the practice of the profession with the desire to contribute to environmental sustainability.
Since then, she has been a member of APESB YPG - Young Professionals Group, which seeks to create innovative solutions and technological disruptions for waste management. As a member, it acts mainly at the level of communication.
